A Cavan teacher says the guidance issued to schools is "lacking" and has made it difficult to plan for re-opening.
The government intends to open schools as fully as possible by the end of August and September, and guidance on how to re-open safely will be issued by the end of July.
Grainne McPhillips, a teacher at Gaelscoil Bhréifne in Cavan Town, says maintaining social distancing in schools will be difficult, particularly in schools with a lot of pupils.
She told Shanonside Northern Sound that "blended learning" is a likely option, but that it requires government funding due to some pupils lacking the appropriate technology or access to broadband:
