A Cavan Student has won an award at the NBI "Imagine the Future" national final.
National Broadband Ireland's competition invited students from close to 700 schools in the National Broadband Plan intervention area to create a piece of art to represent the world of possibilities that will be opened up by high-speed broadband.
Oscar Martin, of Corlea National School, Co. Cavan, took home third place in the Junior Infants, 1st Class category.
Project entries ranged from robot surgeons to interactive classrooms where VR headsets transport you to Ancient Egypt to wander around the pyramids.
Meanwhile, a key theme across the shortlisted entries was the focus on solar powered systems to reduce the impact of fossil fuels.
