The Ukrainian community in Cavan are organising a solidarity event in Cavan Town tomorrow morning.
They are calling on all Ukrainians, Irish people, and representatives of the entire international community to join the peaceful protest in support of Ukraine.
The protest takes place at 11am tomorrow morning outside Cavan Courthouse. On Monday this week Russia launched a missile strike on the main Ukrainian children's hospital in Kyiv. At the moment of a missile strike, there were 627 children in the hospital.
This peaceful protest is dedicated to the memory of those children and adults who died as a result of the shelling. On that day, 33 people were killed in Kyiv, including small children. Organisers are asking people in the region to join the rally, expressing solidarity and support with the purpose of the protest, to remember all those who died.
