A Cavan primary school is hosting a "super auction" this weekend to raise important funds for class equipment.
Scoil Bhríde, Mountnugent currently has 79 pupils, but a gradual decline in enrolment over the past ten years has meant the amount awarded from capital grants has also fallen.
As a result, the school has organised an auction of local goods and services with the aim of raising €15,000 to go towards modern classroom furniture and some computers to teach basic tech skills.
The Cavan Autism Parent Support Group is the chosen charity of Saturday's event and will receive a portion of the proceeds.
