A rally is taking place tomorrow in Cavan in solidarity with the people of Gaza.
The emergency protest will take place at the Cavan Town Square from 1pm tomorrow. According to the organisers, the aim of the planned rally is to highlight the Palestinian struggle and particularly the Gaza strip.
Organiser of the emergency rally for Gaza in Cavan is Sean O Raghallaigh, he says the event is calling on an end to Israel's attack on Gaza. Cavan Councillors condemned the 'ongoing attack on Gaza' by the Israeli army resulting in tens of thousands of deaths at the recent Cavan County Council monthly meeting.
A motion was tabled by Sinn Féin's Paddy McDonald, and received widespread support from within the chamber condemning the IDF ethnic cleansing primarily, and also Hamas actions on Oct 7th. Sean says there is a lot of support locally with the people of Palestine.
