Property prices in Cavan have fallen by €4,000 during the quarter, according to the latest MyHome.ie Property Price Report. The report for Q1 2024, shows that the median asking price for a property in the county is now €195,000. This means prices have also fallen by €4,000 compared with this time last year. Asking prices for a 3-bed semi-detached house in the county rose by €5,000 over the quarter to €180,000. This means that prices in the segment have stayed flat compared to this time last year. Meanwhile, the asking price for a 4-bed semi-detached house in Cavan fell by €2,500 over the quarter to €210,000. This price is steady compared to this time last year. There were 215 properties for sale in Cavan at the end of Q1 2024 – a decrease of 17% over the quarter. The average time for a property to go sale agreed in the county after being placed up for sale now stands at just over three and a half months.
Elsewhere, property prices in Monaghan have stayed flat during the quarter. The report for Q1 shows that the median asking price for a property in the county is still €195,000. This also means prices have not changed compared with this time last year. Asking prices for a 3-bed semi-detached house in the county rose by €17,500 over the quarter to €192,500. This means prices have risen by €10,000 compared to this time last year. Meanwhile, the asking price for a 4-bed semi-detached house in Monaghan rose by €4,500 over the quarter to €239,500. This price is up by €9,500 compared to this time last year. There were 95 properties for sale in Monaghan at the end of Q1 2024 – a decrease of 8% on the quarter. The average time for a property to go sale agreed in the county after being placed up for sale now stands at nearly six and a half months.
