A Cavan project has been shortlisted for the .IE Digital Town Award.
.IE is the company that manages Ireland's country domain and the awards honour local town projects that enhance the community.
There are 14 award categories and Cootehill's town website has been shortlisted for a new national award that celebrates the digital achievements of communities across Ireland.
The winners will be announced at a virtual awards event on the 10th of June and the winners will share a prize fund worth €100,000.
Connie Whelan is the project co-ordinator of cootehill.ie, and she told Shannonside Northern Sound it's a "great honour for the town":
