Incoming first-year students in Cavan are being told to not be anxious about starting in a new school.
Principal of Virginia College Niall Lynch said parents should set their children up as they would any other year, saying it’s something to be excited about.
With the closure of schools abruptly back in March due to Covid-19, there were concerns that sixth class students would miss out on important steps when making the transition to secondary school.
