Thirteen counties, including Cavan and Longford, are to benefit from a share of almost €5 million in funding under the Healthy Community Programme.
The funding will be used to deliver increased health and wellbeing services in 19 different communities.
They include areas such as Cavan town and county, Longford town, Athlone and Mullingar in Westmeath, Clonmel in Tipperary, and Inisowen in Donegal.
