The director of a Cavan Nursing Home has criticised the lack of clarity in new visiting restrictions.
From today, nursing home owners can ask visitors for proof of vaccination or immunity when coming to see loved ones.
There are exceptions for those providing essential services or on compassionate grounds.
Binimole Santhosh is the Director of Nursing at Esker Lodge Nursing Home in Cavan and says there wasn't enough time given to implement or communicate the measures, and they got most of their information from media reports.
She told Northern Sound that the guidelines could put staff in difficult situations when trying to prevent the spread of infection.
