A Cavan man believes something special did happen at the pilgrimage site of Medugorje.
Last week, Pope Francis approved catholic spiritual devotion centred at the site. This follows decades of investigations into alleged apparitions of the Virgin Mary that appeared on the mountain there. Seamus Quinn is from Cavan and he travelled to the site. Speaking on the Joe Finnegan show, Seamus says it's only a matter of time before the apparitions are marked as genuine.
"I have to go myself for these things rather than someone else saying it to know that there was something. But, something definitely struck you and the other people who were with me said the same thing. The crowds of people that are visiting there and the busloads, we took two busloads who would love to go back again, they know this is true and they believe in it very much. I do believe that down the road that Pope Francis will come to a decision where it will be put forward that this really happened".
