A Cavan-Monaghan TD says further supports are needed for the tourism sector in the border region.
Fianna Fáil's Brendan Smith says many businesses along the border are dependent on tourism and that the local economy relies upon it.
He is calling on the Minister for Tourism, Catherine Martin, to provide sector-specific supports for these businesses.
With the huge drop in international travel due to covid-19, Deputy Smith says some local businesses may not survive this year.
