Cavan / Monaghan schools recognised for grá of Gaeilge

 Two schools in Cavan and three in Monaghan have been praised for their grá for Gaeilge.

Schools in Cavan and Monaghan are to be recognised for their use of the Irish language. Two schools in Cavan and three in Monaghan have been priased for their grá for Gaeilge and their use of it in settings outside of the formal classrooom.

The seven schools including Scoil Náisiúnta Doire Bhóithe (Deravoy NS), Carrickroe, Urbleshanny National School, Scotstown and St Tiarnach's Primary School, Clones and St. Clare's National School, Ballyjamesduff and Kilnaleck National School will now all be presented with Irish flags to go on display at their properties.

72 flags will be awarded to primary school students across Ireland - the most awarded in any one year. Flags are awarded to schools in recognition of their efforts to inspire and empower their school communities to speak Irish.
