The Special Education Minister will be urged to introduce emergency legislation to address a shortfall in special classes, when she meets with campaigners later.
Autism charity, As I Am, says more than 260 children don't have a place this coming September.
Meanwhile, Deputy Niamh Smyth accompanied a delegation of parents from Cavan and Monaghan last week to meet with Minister Anne Rabbitte.
They highlighted to her their plight when it comes to accessing disability services for the children.
Deputy Smyth says that children miss time from school because of their disabilities or needs, and this is down to the fact that the services are not their to complement their school life.
"For most parents the main emphasis is around services because we are focusing on younger children," she added.
"But I did meet with a parent whose 12-year-old child missed a lot of time from school.
"That is down to the fact that they don't have access to services outside of school that would not only complement their time in school and make school life a little bit easier for them."
