Gardaí across the Northern Sound region are embarking on a Christmas community engagement drive.
Today, tomorrow, and Monday, Cavan and Monaghan gardaí will be visiting Syrian refugee families and travelling communities.
Visits will also be made to Tearmann Domestic Violence Services, Teach na Daoine, and local care homes.
Gardaí will be giving out Christmas cards at these events that have been designed by local transition year students.
The Christmas cards will also include the phone numbers of local and national emergency services.
Chief Superintendent Alan McGovern says there will be further events in the new year and that it's all about "breaking down barriers":
