Two Cavan natives have been shortlisted for a prestigious astrophotography competition.
The 'Reach for the Stars' competition is run by the Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies and aims to find the best astro-photographs taken in Ireland over the past year.
Aaron Kelly, from Ballyjamesduff, and Dara Callinan, from Virginia, have both been shortlisted with two photographs in the 'Out of this World' category.
While a high-profile judging panel will select the overall winning entries, an online vote has been launched so members of the public can also have their say too.
All shortlisted images can now be viewed on the 'Reach for the Stars' website, where members of the public can also cast their vote for their favourite image and voting will close at midnight on Sunday, the third of July.
