For the last 38 years Cavan Lions Club has served its community with distinction.
During that time it has donated in excess of €1m to numerous charities and organisations.
But, it has emerged, it is set to disband in the coming weeks.
Those who have benefited from its services are shocked over developments.
Founder member Tony Finlay told Northern Sound, the organisation can't recruit new members to keep it going.
"Like a lot of things we were struggling a little bit pre Covid with getting new members," he added.
"Covid then caused a complete shut down of our organisation no more than many others in the country.
"Now that we are trying to start back up the Club is working with just three members.
"It's just not feasible to work Cavan Lions Club with just three people."
