A completely new index of the places in Ireland to offer its people the best work/life balance places Cavan in the top 10. Overall, Cavan Town comes in seventh but, it tops the list of top 10 towns for leisure facilities, parks and green spaces.
The new Switcher.ie Work Life Balance Index looks at towns and cities across Ireland to find the best places to strike the perfect work-life balance. To calculate the best towns for family life and work balance, researchers summed index scores for house prices, crime rate, number of GP surgeries and nearby primary schools.
Switcher.ie also studied Ireland’s towns for local services, hybrid working, family life and leisure to find the best places to live and work. Cavan Town came in as the number one town in Ireland for leisure facilities, parks and green spaces but did not feature in the top 5 list of best towns for hybrid working or the shopping, cafes and cheap eats category. Cavan Town did feature in the list of top five cheapest towns to live in, coming in at third place. It did not make the top five safest places to live, either.
