The Cavan IFA Chair says Brexit is a "disastrous nightmare" hanging over the farming community and has welcomed Brexit supports in the budget.
Elizabeth Ormiston has also welcomed the €150 euro increase to the earned income tax credit for farmers and the self-employed.
There has been a 179-million euro increase to the Department of Agriculture's budget, which includes finance for the new Food Ombudsman.
The Cavan IFA Chair says this is "imperative" because food pricing is something that needs to be addressed.
