Four Cavan transport companies are calling on local businesses and community groups to make urgent donations to their latest Ukraine appeal.
Based between Bawnboy and Dowra, McMorrow Haulage, McGovern Transport, Howden Haulage and Campbell Couriers recently drove four lorry loads of essential supplies to the Ukraine and will do so again this weekend.
Due to the over-supply of certain items, the West Cavan companies are urging locals to donate goods such as water, baby food, medical supplies and hygiene products.
Gerry McMorrow of McMorrow Haulage, says a team of volunteers will be organising goods at McGovern Transport in Bawnboy this Saturday March 26th until 1pm and believes locals should show their support once again to ensure supplies are delivered to those in need.
