Amanda and Shane Corcoran from Cavan town has praised local disability services for the support they have received since their now 10-year-old daughter was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy (CP), just 18 months after she was born.
Sadhbh Corcoran has a "love for life" and is like any other 10-year-old, who loves swimming and horse riding according to her parents.
While Sadhbh’s resilience and bravery has not let her condition hold her back from anything in life, her parents say services like Enable Ireland and Cappagh Kids have played a “crucial role” in giving their daughter “the best life possible.”
Despite this, Amanda Corcoran is aware that not all families have had the same experience, and highlighted the pressures facing services as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
She added that "all families" deserve equal support and hopes services across Cavan will improve and deliver for local families and those who need it most.
