So far this month 87 patients at Cavan General have had to wait on trolleys.

A total of 363 admitted hospital patients are waiting on trolleys across the country.

Anyone who attended, was admitted to, or visited patients in Cavan General in the past 14 days may have been exposed to measles. 

Members of the public are advised to seek alternative pathways for non-emergency care.

One of those diagnosed presented at Cavan General Hospital last week possibly exposing many others to the disease.
