Cavan General Hospital is currently experiencing "significantly high" levels of activity.
It's the second such message that has been issued from the local hospital this week, and people are advised to expect "significant delays" at the Emergency Department.
There is also limited bed capacity at present.
Those with non-emergency needs are asked to seek alternative medical assistance from a GP or pharmacy.
The public has also been asked to note that the Minor Injuries Unit at Monaghan Hospital is open from 9am to 5pm.
Cavan General Hospital has thanked the public for its cooperation in this matter.
