Cavan General Hospital is advising people in the region that the Emergency Department is again experiencing "a prolonged period of significantly increased activity".
Patients are being told to expect "long delays due to the "very high attendance to the Emergency Department".
This comes after a similar warning from the hospital last Friday.
Patients that have non-emergency needs are asked to seek alternative medical assistance from a GP or pharmacy.
Cavan General Hospital has requested the public's "continued support in hospital avoidance where possible" and have thanked patients for their support.
