The Cavan Roads Policing Unit detected a number of vehicles travelling over the legal speed limit on the N3 earlier this morning.
One vehicle was caught travelling at 142kmph in a 100kmph speed limit on the N3, while another two vehicles were detected on separate occasions this morning, travelling at 128kmph and 135kmph.
According to the Cavan Roads Policing Unit, each driver received Fixed Payments Notices and 3 points.
Meanwhile, An Garda Síochána have renewed their slowdown appeal.
It revealed that 95 deaths on Irish roads have taken place this year so far, a "large increase" on 2021 statistics at this time.
The World Health Organisation has also estimated that a 5% reduction in average speed could see a 30% reduction in fatal collisions.
