Gardaí in Cavan arrested a driver for having no licence, no insurance and testing positive for cocaine.
At a recent checkpoint in the region, the Cavan Roads Policing Unit stopped a vehicle where the driver admitted to not being insured or holding a licence.
A roadside drugs test found the same driver also tested positive for having cocaine in their system.

The car was detained and the driver arrested to await a Court appearance.
Gardaí in Cavan are using the incident to remind motorists to never drive while under the influence of drink or drugs.
