A local GAA manager has spoken about the importance of 'consistency' for spectators when watching a match.
Mickey's Graham's comments come after a referee was praised by commentators for 'letting the game flow' during yesterday's final between Strokestown and Boyle in Roscommon.
According to Mickey Graham, a referee's interpretation will determine how a game can go.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Mickey said that many people who go to a football match "like to see the game flowing", however it can be "frustrating at times" when the "whistle is blown for every small tackle that is put in."
"Some referees have their own preference, and a lot of it is down to discretion. Most inter-county games flow more so than club games because referees are at a higher standard, and the physicality of both teams are on par when it comes to size and power," he added.
