A Cavan man who received the Freedom of London will get his chance to participate in the ancient rite of sheep walking this weekend.
Frank O'Hare, a Cavan native, is the Director and Founder of the London Irish Construction Network and has over 50 years experience in construction.
He was given the Freedom of London in recognition of his achievement last year. This Sunday he will walk sheep across the Southwark Bridge as a 'freeman' alongside Ed Sheeran and other recipients Speaking ahead of the event on Sunday, Frank says it'll be a special occasion for him and his family.
"I'm delighted. It came as a bit of a surprise to be nominated. We had the ceremony last year which was too late for last year's sheep drive but we're going Sunday along with my wife and grandkids. We're all looking forward to it and the grandkids are very excited about it. It'll be a nice day out!".
