Cavan is the fifth-highest county for fly infestations.
That's according to pest control provider Rentokil, who say County Cavan accounted for 3% of fly callouts between November 2020 and January of this year.
Dublin accounted for 29% of callouts for fly infestations, while one-in-four callouts occurred in Kerry.
Nationwide, there was a 19% increase in callouts compared to the same period the year previous.
The company warns that fly callouts are expected to increase over the coming months as weather conditions become warmer.
Flies can pose the threat of contaminating food, and Richard Faulkner of Rentokil says it's important to ensure that all food is covered and stored correctly and not left out in the open.
