A Mullagh farmer came up with a novel ideal to cool down during the last few days of high temperatures.
Michael Farrelly of Killian's Lodge made a make-shift swimming pool out of bales of hay and silage wrap.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan Show this morning, he highlighted how underground tanks that usually funnel water to the farm, were used on this occasion to fill the pool with water.
Michael said while it took just two hours to construct, he remains hopeful that the silage wrap doesn't puncture.
Michael also said that he is amazed how the effort "caught on" on social media.
"It's going very well and we are very happy with it," he continued.
"It would be a great thing for people on other farms to do.
"I suppose filling it in with water is the problem.
"But it's great just to be able to hop into it and cool down."
