A farmer has been hospitalised following an accident on his Co Cavan farm. It’s believed the man received serious injuries as a result of this incident that occurred on Friday morning.
Emergency Services responded to reports of a man with serious injuries following an incident on Friday morning in Butlerbsbridge. The operation involved Gardaí from Belturbet and Ballyconnell combined with their Emergency Service colleagues in the National Ambulance Service, Irish Air Corp Medi Vac and Cavan Fire Service.
In a statement, Gardai said a man in his 50s was injured while working on his farm and sustained injuries that required him to be airlifted to Tallaght Hospital. They added: "He was subsequently transported safely to Dublin.
"The man is now continuing to recover in hospital as the HSA investigate the incident."
