A Cavan farmer is battling misinformation online around Irish agriculture and emission reductions.
Former Macra na Feirme President Thomas Duffy says discussions around climate change and farming have become polarised and damaging.
He says players on both sides of the debate have been using intentionally misleading claims to sell their point and discredit other arguments.
The government has called for a 25 per cent reduction in agriculture emissions, while rural groups have hit out at the proposal.
He told Northern Sound News that people need to recognise that co-operating is the only way to move forward.
