100 jobs are now being supported by Cavan Digital Hub. Opened in 2019 with three member companies, the Hub is facilitating100 skilled digital and technology roles.
78 workers are based in the facility with a further 26 remote roles employed by its clients across the globe. Together, members and the wider facility generate more than €3m to the local economy in workforce salaries alone.
Leanne Connell, Manager of Cavan Digital Hub says employees live, work, play, eat and shop locally as well as supporting local businesses with their digital services and solutions. "Clients based out of the facility include digital start-ups, established small-to-medium technology businesses and larger firms embracing a hybrid and regional working ethos and seeking a local base in Cavan.
"The firms specialise in all areas of the digital spectrum including artificial intelligence, software development, digital services, and web solutions. The average start-up member has grown from one staff member to six staff members in 24 months.
"80% of clients are predicting further growth and expansion in 2023. We have a waiting list of clients seeking office suites and have a steady stream of 'dedicated desk users' making enquiries. This is a great indicator of a future pipeline and next generation of fledgling digital firms and tech entrepreneurs.
"Employers across Ireland are seeking out more flexible ways for their employers to work that also cut down on commute time, saes, petrol, childcare, and general big city living and office costs," she added.
