Over €8,000 has been earmarked for a museum in Co. Cavan.
The funding comes as part of Minister Catherine Martin's announcement of a total funding of €171,850 under the Regional Museum Exhibitions Scheme 2024. The initiative is to enhance the cultural offering of museums, and to promote them as tourism resources in the region.
Cavan County Museum is to receive €8,938, which will update, reorganise, and redisplay some of its current exhibitions. It was the only museum in the Northern Sound region to receive the funding under this scheme.
