Cavan County Council is seeking submissions in relation to its new Irish Language Scheme.
The scheme will run for a three-year period from March 2022 and the Council is inviting the submissions in relation to its preparation.
Submissions or observations can be made by email to [email protected] or in writing to the County Librarian at the Cavan County Library Headquarters.
The closing date for receipt is 5pm on Wednesday, the second of March 2022
The news has been welcomed by Cavan Councillor John Paul Feeley, who says he has been raising the need to review the Irish Language Scheme.
In an online message posted in Irish, Councillor Feeley said he hopes more will be done for the Irish language in the future.
He also called for the appointment of an Irish Language Officer.
