Cavan County Council makes 'significant order for road warning signs' to replace defective signage

Cavan County Council is said to have made a "significant order for road warning signs" which will replace signage that is currently defective.

Councillor TP O'Reilly raised the issue of road signs and markings at a recent Ballyjamesduff MD meeting.

John McGahern, Cavan's Senior Executive Engineer, said the Council is currently engaged with speed limit sign replacements.

Mr McGahern added that the council is also carrying out a report on school warning signs as some are coming to the end of their lifespan.

In addition to the "significant order" of warning signs, the council is also planning on cleaning road signs with their own resources.
