A local Councillor has called on Cavan County Council to cut more grass verges at dangerous junctions. Winston Bennett told a meeting of the Ballyjamesduff MD this week that it's a matter of concern from a road safety view.
He said at many junctions in the area drivers have to pull out onto the road before they can see oncoming traffic. Councillor Bennett was told the Council cuts verges at what are considered the worst junctions but because of the Covid-19 pandemic the focus is now on the roadworks programme.
