Councillors in Cavan were paid over €520,000 in expenses and allowances last year.
That's a decrease from 2018 however when they were paid almost €535,000.
The majority of the payments was made up of Councillors' Representational Allowances, with €17,096 paid to each per year.
Lesser sums, ranging from €7,300 to €9,700 was paid to 12 Councillors who served part of the year - including those who stepped down or lost their seats and those first elected at last year's local elections.
Independent Councillor and outgoing Cathaoirleach Shane P O'Reilly received the most in 2019 at €38,773.
Fianna Fáil's John Paul Feeley received the next largest sum of €37,700, including allowances as Municipal District and Committee Chair.
Fine Gael's Madeline Argue received €35,600. She served as Council Chair until June of last year.
