Councillors in Cavan are calling on Fianna Fail to oppose the over grounding of the North-South Interconnector.
Yesterday, the North's Infrastructure Minister approved planning permission for the project - a move welcomed by Eirgrid.
The Government is now being called on to not allow the development go ahead in its current format.

Cathaoirleach of Cavan County Council, Aontu's Sarah O'Reilly, said she was disappointed there wasn't more done to stop the planning approval.
Clifford Kelly said councillors in Cavan, Monaghan and Meath "won't stand idly by" and allow pylons be built on local land.
