A Cavan councillor has hit out at anti-social behaviour in playgrounds across the county.
Brendan Fay told a recent Cavan-Belturbet MD meeting that young children and parents sometimes receive abuse in playgrounds.
He passed a motion calling for signage to be erected to state that this kind of behaviour will not be tolerated.
Peter McVitty urged parents to report any abuse or intimidation to gardaí, and while John Paul Feeley questioned the effect signage would have, he backed the motion and said "we need to do something".
