A Cavan councillor is calling on "something to be done" in relation to fallen trees affected by Ash dieback.
Fine Gael's Trevor Smith made the calls at a recent sitting of the Ballyjamesduff Municipal District.
According to Cllr Smith, farmers who did not plant commercially and have ash trees dying along their road will be at a huge financial expanse to remove them.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Cllr Smith confirmed that in place at the moment are two schemes which are available to farmers who have planted forestry on their land.
