A Cavan councillor has called for the council to buy a new Pothole repair machine for the county's road.
Sarah O'Reilly, the Cathaoirleach of Cavan County Council, noted at a recent Bailieborough-Cootehill MD meeting that Wexford has recently purchased a new machine for around €250,000.
If funding cannot be secured to by a new machine, Councillor O'Reilly says money should be ring-fenced to hire the use of a pothole repair machine when the need arises.
However, MD area Manager Alan Lyons said "we can't put all our money into fixing potholes".
