Cavan could once again be the "pothole capital of Ireland" if roads funding isn't increased. That's according to Fianna Fail's Clifford Kelly

Cavan could once again be the "pothole capital of Ireland" if roads funding isn't increased.

That's according to Fianna Fail's Clifford Kelly who has asked that Transport Minister Eamon Ryan visit the region.

A presentation to the Bailieborough-Cootehill MD showed it would take €50 million to fix every road in the area, with most currently ranked as being of fair to good condition.

Speaking to Shannonside Northern Sound News, Clifford Kelly said he wouldn't expect Minister Ryan to hand over a blank cheque.
