A Cavan family of farm contractors is to feature on TV. Dad, Ultan, and sons James and Ronan Carroll from Bailieborough will appear on season two of "Contractors" on TG4 tomorrow night. Ultan started cutting grass and drawing silage in 1979.
Now, his family business Carroll Agri credits "loyalty" from local farmers to the success of their well-known contracting Cavan business. James Carroll explained why he and his family got involved in the TV show:
"It was advertised on Facebook after the last season and I just said it'd be good for future generations to see in years to come and see how things go on, like my own young lad, and I got my wife to enter it and Yvonne sent across an email and, in fairness to them, I think they probably saw something in us and that there's always something going on here, something different and, I suppose we've a wide range of things to show them." Contractors featuring the Carroll family will be aired at 9:30pm tomorrow, Thursday, 28th March and will be repeated on TG4 this Sunday.
