A Cavan businesswoman has praised the ACORNS initiative which supports early-stage female entrepreneurs living in rural Ireland.
With growing weariness around the commute to her job with a leading designer in Dublin, Margaret Coyne made a decision to make Dowra a permanent hub for her budding dress-making business.
Margaret, who hopes to launch a ready-to-wear mother-of-the-bride collection in the next 12 months, was recently shortlisted for Newcomer of the Year at the Weddings Online Awards.
She also believes that the ACORNS programme was "essential" to helping her focus on business and finance, rather than just the creative side of her operations.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Margaret described her experience as "fantastic", highlighting that ACORNS is run "by women for women"
