Drummully Boxty, a Cavan-based producer, who is part of the Food Academy in SuperValu, has been awarded a Gold accolade, for their product Drummully Pan Boxty, at Ireland's biggest food awards, Blás na hÉireann.
Drummully Boxty is a family-produced, traditional low-fat, potato dish, made from the very best Irish potatoes. Celebrating 40 years in business this month, Paul Farrelly and his family have been making Boxty products on Drummully Farm in Killeshandra, Co Cavan since 1983.
Their recipe has been handed down through generations to reach your plate and give you a taste of traditional Ireland.
Now in its 16th year, the Blás na hÉireann awards is the biggest annual competition for quality Irish produce across the island of Ireland, with thousands of products entered hoping to win Gold, Silver or Bronze awards across 100 food and drink categories.
Congratulating Paul & Nan Farrelly of Drummully Boxty, Ian Allen, Managing Director, SuperValu said, "Huge congratulations to Drummully Boxty. Without the hard work and commitment to producing high quality products from these Irish food producers, we would not have the excellent range of award-winning products available in SuperValu stores.
