Bus Éireann has confirmed that Cavan bus station will reopen to customers from this Friday.
The station will now be open seven days a week from 8.00am to 7.00pm.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the station was closed in 2020.
However, despite a number of delays, Bus Éireann says they have been engaging with the previous operator of the on-site café, and can confirm café facilities will also reopen to allow customers to grab some food or a drink while waiting for their bus.
Bus Éireann added that indoor toilet facilities will also be open for customers and security staff will be on-site seven days a week.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Deputy Niamh Smyth “welcomed” the news.
Meanwhile, Deputy Brendan Smith says staff have been “advocating strongly” over the need to get facilities open, and that he is “glad” works have now come to fruition.
