A local bike shop owner says he has been “crazy busy” since he opened two weeks ago.
George Allen, of Feel Good Cycles in Virginia, said he didn’t anticipate a big increase in demand at the beginning of the pandemic, and even cancelled pre-orders which he felt he would’ve struggled to sell.
George says a lot of customers are seeking repairs to bikes that haven’t been used in many years and there is currently a month-long waiting list for repairs.
He says he is delighted to see people getting out and spending time with family on their bikes during the lockdown.
George told Shannonside Northern Sound that he hopes people will continue to look out for cyclists as restrictions are lifted:
