Cavan and Monaghan have made marked improvements in the latest litter league standings.
The latest Irish Business Against Litter survey shows litter levels have risen slightly across the country, with cities again faring badly.
Naas has been crowned the cleanest town, while Dublin's North Inner City has been branded the only litter blackspot in the country.
Locally, Cavan climbed back into the Clean category at 17th, while Monaghan just missed out on the highest rankings.
Conor Horgan from IBAL told The Joe Finnegan Show that Monaghan is up from where it normally finishes.
