A number of producers from across Cavan and Monaghan have been announced as finalists at this year's Blas na hÉireann awards.
The three-day event will take place in Dingle from Thursday September 28th to Saturday September 30th.
The finalists from Co Cavan who are shortlisted across a range of different categories are Aine Chocolates Ltd, Carleton Cakes, Cullys Craft Bakery, Drummully Boxty, Ice Cream Treats, Liffey Meats, Manor Farm, Morans Megajam Ltd and Terra Ltd.
Meanwhile, the ten finalists shortlisted from Co Monaghan are Arthur Mallon Foods, Connolly Meats, Connolly's Organic Eggs, Greenfield Foods, Grove Turkeys Ltd, IGWT, Lakeland Dairies Monaghan, Mallon Foods, Mc Caughey Foods and Silver Hill Duck.
Now in its 16th year, Blas na hÉireann saw its highest entries from across all categories along with many new producers entering the awards for the first time this year.
During the judging, which took place over June and July, over 3,000 entries were judged, the highest on record.
